Alejandra José Barillas Solís (25, 1.81m, La Nueva Guatemala de la Asunción) was crowned Miss Universe Guatemala 2011 in a private ceremony in Guatemala City. She will represent Guatemala in Miss Universe 2011 in Sao Paulo, Brazil next September.
The Miss Guatemala pageant was rescheduled for later this year and the three winners will represent the nation in the 2012 editions of Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss International.
Meanwhile, Karen Remón will represent Guatemala in Miss International 2011 in Chengdu, China.
Guatemala's representative to Miss World 2011 will be announced soon.

The winner will represent the host country in Miss Universe 2011 pageant to be held in Sao Paulo, September 12th. Rede Bandeirantes is responsible of bringing the Miss Universe contest to Brazil, for the first time in the pageant’s 60-year history.

LAS VEGAS -Alyssa Campanella from California was the winner of Miss USA 2011!

The woman representing Maine in the Miss USA pageant has been eliminated following the evening gown competition after making it into the final eight.
The quarterfinalists stand at the end of the swimsuit competition
during the 2011 Miss USA pageant, Sunday, June 19, 2011, in Las Vegas.
Miss Maine, Ashley-Lynn Marble (back row, third from left),
is one of 8 finalists in the competition.

Miss Maine Ashley-Lynn Marble was eliminated after making it through the swimsuit competition.
The women who can still win the crown at Sunday night’s pageant are: Miss Tennessee Ashley Durham, Miss Texas Ana Rodriguez, Miss Alabama Madeline Mitchell and Miss

Mariana Figueiredo (C), from Teresópolis, won the Miss Rio de Janeiro Universe 2011 title last night. The 1st runner-up was Luiza Loralay (R), from Cachoeiras de Macacu, and the 2nd runner-up was Gabrielle Viela (L), Miss Angra dos Reis. There were 27 contestants competed.

Nayanne Ferre was the chosen one in the state Maranhao. Both will compete in Miss Brazil Universe 2011, on July 23, in Sao Paulo.
