Quilting for Homeschool

Sooo...way over a year ago i bought the map panel of the world, stashed it away and forgot about it. I figured at some point it would be a fun piece to back a quilt for Mitchie with. Then about a month or so ago, whilst on a huge fabric binge, i found this other panel of just the USA, states and capitols. The idea came together all at once, which is the way it usually happens for me. I would use the two to make a Map Mat/Quilt for school. It maybe is not the most accurate map or even my most favorite project...but i think it will get much use around here. The kids have lots of questions about where places are and where are our friends and family that live away from us. Plus we'll be doing more history and geography this year. I was having a little sewing and project withdrawl while i was on vacation so it is nice to have this done and ready to use.
