Mariana Figueiredo (C), from Teresópolis, won the Miss Rio de Janeiro Universe 2011 title last night. The 1st runner-up was Luiza Loralay (R), from Cachoeiras de Macacu, and the 2nd runner-up was Gabrielle Viela (L), Miss Angra dos Reis. There were 27 contestants competed.

Nayanne Ferre was the chosen one in the state Maranhao. Both will compete in Miss Brazil Universe 2011, on July 23, in Sao Paulo.

Miss Minas Gerais Universe 2011 was crowned last night in Belo Horizonte, and the winner was Izabela Drumond, from Belo Horizonte. She is 24 and a student of Journalism.

Izabela, who was crowned by Débora Lyra, Miss Brazil Universe 2010, will compete inMiss Brazil Universe 2011, in the city of São Paulo, on July 23rd.

Road to Miss Brazil Universe 2011
Miss Brazil Universe 2011 Pageant will be held on July 23rd, 2011 instead of July 16th as scheduled earlier. Miss Brazil 2010 Debora Lyra will pass the crown to her successor at the end of the event. The winner will represent the host country in Miss Universe 2011 pageant to be held in Sao Paulo, September 12th. Rede Bandeirantes is responsible of bringing the Miss Universe contest to Brazil, for the first time in the pageant’s 60-year history.
